Innodis and it's partners have always considered the human factor to be of utmost importance in the
development of country. The launch of the INNODIS FOUNDATION is the culmination of the ongoing efforts
of the Group to cater for this human factor work and meet its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) objectives for many years now.
In spite of being engaged in different sectors of activities, i.e. food and distribution for Innodis Group
and Poulet Arc en Ciel and property development for Altima Group, we all have a common goal : the promotion
of sustainable development strategies and the alleviation of pockets of poverty around the island.
In line with their vision and their involvement in the social arena in Mauritius, these companies are now
directing their actions through the INNODIS FOUNDATION, which manage and finance CSR projects in favour of
NGOs and other accredited associations. The initial funds made available to the Foundation was to the tune
of some 2 Million Rupees and have been mainly used to finance the acquisition of a vehicle used for the
transportation of handicapped children as well as medical, educational and nutritional equipment and materials.
"Our ultimate goals remain the healthy growth and education of each individual and the alleviation of poverty
as well as other social problems. We want to gear our actions towards the improvement of living conditions of
vulnerable groups, by offering them means to have adequate training and education, as well as contribute to
the welfare of future generations." (Jean How Hong, CEO of Innodis)
Our Foundation has identified four priority action plans:
- Assistance to the national program of eradication of poverty, according to the principles established by the national CSR committee;
- Contribution to human development through the provision of education and training of vulnerable groups;
- Promotion of educational programmes about nutrition and the provision of basic food necessities to vulnerable groups;
- Financing projects aimed at environment protection and conservation.
